Titusville, FL via ICW

We have begun to explore our new backyard.  This weekend we were fortunate to be joined by our good friends "The Morgans".

The weekend started off with pizza and beers at Stavro's (Mr. Browne's favorite) with the Browne's, the Morgan's and the Adam's.  Lots of laughs and good times - as always.
Left Saturday ~ 9AM from Halifax (The Browne's and the Morgan's) and made our way south to Titusville.  Weather and water conditions were perfect.
Kevin & Laurie had their "virgin" bridge lift in New Smyrna.  Along the way we saw lots of wildlife; dolphins, osprey and manatees.  The trip took ~ 5 1/2 hours to reach the municipal marina in Titusville.
The marina was nice.  Clean, well kept and the people working were very friendly and helpful.  My captain is getting very proficient in handling our new girl.  Not a bump to be had.
Very ambitious afternoon planned - naps and beers for alll and then a walk to explore the area.
The marina is kind of out of the way, so there is not a lot close by.  We made our way to a little bar & grill on the waterfront for a cold beverage.  Watched hundreds of people fishing for shrimp.  Fishing, not catching.... It was pretty cool the way they drop the lights into the water and wait with their nets.  Tonight was also the "", it was big and bright!
In the morning we were greeted by a manatee swimming in the marina.  This was a special treat for me as I have not ever seen one up close like this - pretty amazing!
Like all weekends, they seem to end to fast and it was time to head back to Daytona.
Leaving Titusville, ~ 9:45; again, good weather and water and today some currents in our favor, took ~ 1 hour off of our return trip home.  The chrome/stainless got a little polishing on the way back, and we were joined a few times by dolphins running and playing in our wake.
Check out the video of the dolphins  Then again a few hours later click here  (Thanks to my videographer Seniorita Margarita)
